A look at the meditation experience

Sixteen days ago, I started publishing a series of short daily podcasts on meditation. So many people are writing about meditation and its benefits, but there’s also a lot of misinformation floating around and it’s hard for someone to know where to start.

peaceful-442070_640I wanted to create a short series of meditations that would lead someone through the experience of meditation. That’s an important point: I didn’t want to make a series of lessons on meditation; I wanted you to actually do it and experience it.

This project has truly exceeded all my expectations. The format–a very short (usually less than two minutes) talk on the the meditation technique for the day and then a background track (sometimes “white noise” waves, sometimes binaural beats) while you actually do the meditation–has proven to be a very effective way to lead people through the experience.

The feedback I’ve gotten on this has been overwhelming. From brand new meditators to people who have been sitting in meditation daily for twenty years–people are saying that this little “mini course” has opened new doors and challenged them to explore new techniques.

If you haven’t tried it, maybe today is the day? Have a seat, go to this page and begin at the beginning.
